This smoothie is a powerhouse for skin health, packed with nutrients that promote a glowing complexion.
Spinach is rich in vitamin C and beta-carotene, which support collagen production and protect skin from oxidative stress. Coconut water hydrates the skin with natural electrolytes, while pineapple provides additional vitamin C and bromelain, an enzyme that may help reduce inflammation. Avocado offers healthy fats like omega-9, which improve skin elasticity and barrier function. Matcha is loaded with antioxidants, particularly EGCG, which helps combat skin damage from UV rays and pollution. Lastly, ground flax seeds are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and lignans, which reduce inflammation and help maintain skin moisture. This blend is as nourishing as it is delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 cup frozen or fresh pineapple, or to taste
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 tsp matcha (green tea powder)
- 1 tbsp flax seed
Directions
Step 1
Blend all of the above ingredients together until smooth in a blender. Add more pineapple to taste, as you like.
Step 2
Serve over ice in a tall glass, and enjoy!
