Here at 111SKIN we are solidifying our position as the ‘go-to’ skincare for those wanting to prep skin with a breathable, healthy base. The result? Hydrated, transparent skin, with a visibly iridescent, glowing sheen. Fast becoming essentials in many make-up artists’ tool-kit; our varied assortment of sheet and eye masks ensure skin is dewy, plump and primed for make-up application, whilst also providing the optimum in hydration, creating skin that is healthy, breathable and fresh.
It is the nourishing, moisturising qualities of our products that have seen our popularity backstage soaring. Used and much-loved by models, editors and make-up artists alike throughout the AW19 season starting with Bella Hadid and Tom Pecheux at the NYFW Brandon Maxwell show.
Following on in quick succession from our whirlwind 48 hours spent backstage at Paris Couture Week with Ralph & Russo and Celia Kritharioti, we were thrilled to be behind the curtain again. This time… in the big apple! 111SKIN supported world-renowned American Fashion Designer Brandon Maxwell at his AW19 show. The brand was born out of the desire to make women feel beautiful, sophisticated and powerful, with timeless garments; impeccably tailored. The partnership with Brandon Maxwell was the perfect fit, the focus on craftmanship and his desire to celebrate form was something all too familiar to 111SKIN. Hence, the partnership came together to showcase the true beauty in every individual.
Providing pre-make-up facials alongside industry favourite make-up artist, Deanna Hagan. A friend and ambassador of 111SKIN, Deanna educated the models’ backstage on the importance of skincare. The value of which should not underestimated, especially for models whose skin takes the hit of relentless, heavy make-up application at shoots and shows.
From catwalk to party, 111SKIN ensured complexions dazzled, luminous ear-to-ear. It was widely-adored Bella Hadid who stole the show, but not before using our famed 111SKIN Sub-Zero De-Puffing Eye Mask. We were thrilled to see Bella posting on her feed after removing our eye mask, in what can only be described as a ‘celebratory dance’ in tandem with her close friend and make-up artist, Tom Pecheux.
Officially a trend, our 111SKIN Sub-Zero De-Puffing Eye Mask is much-loved by our loyal circle of A List royalty. Including: Olivia Palermo, Bella Hadid, Courtney Love and Ashley Graham, to name but a few...
Friend, 111SKIN ambassador, and famed make-up artist to the stars, Deanna Hagan talks below on her love of our treatment masks:
“I developed a deeper Apreciation for women who transform the ugliness and brutality of reality into something beautiful and substantial. I found myself thinking about the potential of clothes to act like armour against the elements both physical and spiritual. The resulting silhouettes are a kind of fantasy; one that is designed to celebrate the incongruencies between what we want and what we must face”.
From Victoria’s Secret Models’ to A-List celebrities, Deanna Hagan is a firm favourite within the industry. A self-confessed skin-infatuated-make-up Artist, Deanna has been an ambassador for 111SKIN for many years, utilising her passion for skincare to ensure models’ skin looked radiant on the runway. Tom Pecheux was the appointed make-up artist for MAC Cosmetics, working alongside Deanna backstage. Tom is a veteran in the industry having worked with some of the world’s most influential designers, and now Global Beauty Director for Yves Saint Laurent.
Off the back of our successes a in New York we were thrilled to partner with Osman and Aadvenik ahead of their AW19 presentations. We were proud to collaborate with the fashion houses, achieving the ultimate base on the models’ ahead of make-up application. Treating models to express mini-facials to awaken the skin before applying our treatment masks. The skin looked alive, healthy and glowing, allowing for faultless make-up application.
Milena Naydenov, Aesthetic Practitioner and Head of International Training at 111SKIN, explains how she created the base for the healthy, radiant, soft-focused skin as seen at the shows:
“To start prepping, we used the 111SKIN Lift Off Exfoliating Cleanser, a gentle cleanser containing fruit acids, to get rid of any dry patches. The 111SKIN Antioxidant Energising Essence containing NAC Y2 was then applied all over the skin to tone and seal moisture into the skin. The powerful NAC Y2 ingredient, a varied and high antioxidant complex containing Vitamin C, helped to brighten the complexion and reduced redness of the model’s skin for an even base.
Before applying a mask to finish, the 111SKIN Celestial Black Diamond Serum and Celestial Black Diamond Emulsion were massaged into the skin to provide a hydration that will last all day. Containing potent peptide Argireline, also known as ‘topical Botox’, this helped to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and smooth any fine lines. Customised masks were then selected based on the model’s skin types and needs on the day addressing concerns of firming, hydration and soothing. Puffiness around the eyes was reduced by applying the 111SKIN Sub-Zero De-Puffing Eye Patches, tackling signs of fatigue and giving the eye area a lifted appearance.”
It's an exciting time for 111SKIN, we hope you agree? A time at which we are tickled pink to partner with so many of our favourite designers the world-over, working alongside close friends, make-up artists and models to ensure healthy, hydrated skin is achieved. Let the good times keep rolling, as we continue to cast our skincare-spell throughout 2019.
